The People\u2019s Choice Award winner was selected in an online competition in which more than 1400 votes were cast. \u201cDuck Creek\u201d will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and Garcia will receive a free trip to Washington, D.C. to attend the unveiling and a reception to honor all of this year\u2019s winners.\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cEach year I am more and more impressed by the creativity, ingenuity, and talent of our local high school students. I send my congratulations to all of the young artists whose wonderful submissions made it a very close contest this year. I especially want to congratulate Andre and look forward to welcoming him and his family to Washington and seeing his artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol,\u201d said Loebsack.The artwork of the first and second runners-up will be displayed in Loebsack\u2019s district offices in Davenport and Iowa City.
