Long.\u00a0\u201cThe president was right when he said the Cuban people have a \u2018friend and partner in the United States.\u2019 But that friend and partner won\u2019t be one that continues to turn their head to a country that oppresses its people. The United States will be a friend and partner who calls on the Cuban government to allow free speech, free press and free and fair elections. The Cuban people deserve a chance to live in a democracy and all the freedoms that come with that.
