Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) issued the following statement after passage of the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act: \r\n\u201cOur nation\u2019s water infrastructure is vital to the 3rd District which is home to more than 150 miles of the Missouri River and nearly 100 miles of the Mississippi River.\u201d Luetkemeyer said. \u201cThe reforms in this bill will ensure that these important resources continue to be drivers of our district\u2019s economy. I am also pleased that we were able to include an authorization to develop a comprehensive strategy to combat flooding on the Upper Mississippi River. We can\u2019t afford to stand by without a plan as our region continues to experience devastating floods.
