Lynch and Republican Congressman Walter B. Jones of North Carolina jointly introduced a bipartisan House Resolution, H. Res. 428, designed to shed additional light on continuing questions about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.\nThis House Resolution urges the President to declassify 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001.\u00a0 This portion has remained classified since the Inquiry\u2019s findings were first released in December 2002.\u00a0 Congressman Lynch recently had the opportunity to review the 28 pages and believes they should be made public.\n\u201cTwelve years after the horrific September 11 attacks, unanswered questions still remain.\u00a0 These pages contain information that is vital to a full understanding of the events and circumstances surrounding this tragedy.\u00a0 The families of the victims and the American people deserve better; they deserve answers, they deserve a full accounting, and that has not happened yet.\u201d\n\u201cI am very pleased to be working with my friend and colleague Congressman Jones to ensure these pages see the light of day.\u00a0 I strongly encourage my colleagues to review this classified section of the Inquiry, and to work with me and Congressman Jones to get it declassified.\u201d", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://lynch.house.gov/press-release/congressman-lynch-introduces-bipartisan-house-resolution-seeking-declassification-9-11"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.7315671537071466, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
