Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) is a cosponsor of the bill. He issued the following statement:\r\nAmerica must maintain its primacy in developing technologies to solve the challenges of the 21st century. Our national security and economic prospects depend on it.\r\nThe American COMPETE Act, which I cosponsored, will keep our country moving forward in key areas of technological development. It includes legislation I introduced to encourage quantum computing and also supports the unmanned delivery services that have broken new ground in the Ninth District. I am glad to see it advance with bipartisan support in the House.\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://morgangriffith.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=402366"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.122301910072565, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
