{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["http://mullin.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=828", "Mullin Statement on FY18 NDAA Signed into Law", "2017-12-12", "2017", "2017-12", "Republican", "House", "OK", "Markwayne Mullin", "M001190", "mullin.house.gov", null, null, "legacy", "Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-2) released the following statement after President Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18 NDAA) into law:\r\n\u201cThe FY18 NDAA rebuilds and restores our military by supplying our men and women in uniform with the critical resources needed to protect our country from harm,\u201d said Mullin.\u00a0 \u201cOur troops work tirelessly to defend our flag.\u00a0 By giving them a well-deserved pay raise, we recognize their constant commitment and lend our gratitude for their brave sacrifice.\u00a0 A Second District priority, I\u2019m also glad to see the DOD Workforce Flexibility Act extended through 2021 in this year\u2019s NDAA.\u00a0 I applaud President Trump for his strong support of our nation\u2019s military and this year\u2019s NDAA.\u201d\r\nThe FY18 NDAA\u2019s 2.4% pay raise for our men and women in uniform is the biggest pay raise for our troops in eight years.\u00a0 Additionally, the legislation increases the overall topline funding, adds additional troops to our Armed Forces, and invests in new technology to help the United States confront conflicts around the globe.\u00a0 The bill also includes language that extends Congressman Mullin\u2019s DOD Workforce Flexibility Act through Fiscal Year 2021.\u00a0 The DOD Workforce Flexibility Act gives flexibility in the hiring process for installations with a civilian workforce, like the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://mullin.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=828"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.427606912329793, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
