Rick Nolan today joined a bicameral amicus brief in Endrew F. v. Douglas County School District.\n\u201cWhile many school districts, especially in Minnesota, continue to far exceed the federal requirements of the law, I am proud to stand up for individuals with disabilities across the country to prevent anyone with a disability from being denied an equal and quality education,\u201d Nolan said. \u201cWe must enable ALL Americans to live up to their full potential.\u201dThe amicus brief shows it to be the intent of the original Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and subsequent reauthorizations that students with disabilities deserve the same meaningful, quality education provided to the rest of the student body \u2013 not just the bare minimum.Endrew F. v. Douglas County School District is currently being deliberated before the United States Supreme Court.
