The project, which passed the House of Representatives with bipartisan support, is expected to create thousands of construction jobs and deliver millions of gallons of crude oil to America, providing a much-needed boost to our refining industry and limiting our nation\u2019s dependence on Middle Eastern oil.  \n\t\u00a0  \n\t\u201cI\u2019m following through on my commitment to be an independent voice for South Jersey because we need to work together to create good American jobs and become less dependent on the Middle East for our energy,\u201d said Congressman Norcross. \u201cI am proud to stand with members of both parties to support this project that can transform the American economy and put our nation back on the path of lasting growth.\u201d  \n\t\u00a0  \n\tThe $8 billion Keystone XL Pipeline project is expected to support as many as 42,000 construction jobs and contribute approximately $3.4 billion to the U.S. GDP, according to the State Department.
