Russia\u2019s alleged interference in our recent presidential election must be taken seriously. Any state-sponsored intrusion is unnerving, but intervention by Russia particularly is problematic because it would represent a stark escalation in Russian aggression against American interests. As a Member of the House Homeland Security Committee, I\u2019ve fought to modernize our laws to reflect the rapidly growing economic and national security concerns associated with cyberattacks.
