Mark Pocan (WI-02) today announced the nomination of outstanding students from Wisconsin\u2019s 2nd Congressional District to the Class of 2019 at the United States Service Academies.\n\u201cIt is an honor to nominate these exceptional students to attend our nation\u2019s service academies and become the future leaders in our military,\u201d said Rep. Pocan. \u201cOur nation\u2019s service academies offer top tier academics and an experience unlike any other college. All the nominees are bright and dedicated students who have demonstrated extraordinary academic achievement and their commitment to serving our country. I wish each of them the best of luck in their pursuit of an appointment and in all of their future endeavors.\u201d\nRep. Pocan assembled a board of volunteers comprised of community leaders as well as active and retired service members from south central Wisconsin to assist with the evaluation of the applicants from the 2nd Congressional District. After the completion of the application process, the nomination board recommended the following students, who were then nominated by Rep.
