I call on my colleagues to respond with urgency and pass my bill, H.R. 2199, the Flood Insurance Implementation Reform Act of 2013, to protect homeowners from steep increases in flood insurance rates. The legislation has support from the entire Louisiana delegation and representatives nationwide. Louisianans and homeowners all across the nation desperately need us to address the crisis of flood insurance affordability.
