S. House Chief Administrative Officer\u2019s Wounded Warrior Program. \u00a0The two-year fellowship provides wounded and disabled veterans with experience and exposure to broaden career opportunities.\r\n\u00a0\r\n\u201cI am a strong supporter of our nation\u2019s veterans and when I learned of this program, I knew our office and the people of Ohio\u2019s 12th Congressional District would benefit,\u201d said Congressman Tiberi.\u00a0 \u201cWhile my office continues to hire veterans and reservists, this program presented a unique opportunity for those transitioning from life in the military.\u201d\r\n\u00a0\r\nCongressman Tiberi hired Captain Richard Spicer, United States Marine Corps Reserve, to work in his Central Ohio office.\u00a0 Spicer serves as a Staff Assistant and helps with veterans affairs and military-related constituent services.\u00a0 In addition he manages incoming correspondence, and oversees constituent casework dealing with the Drug Enforcement Administration, student loans, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commissions, Justice Department, and federal grants.\u00a0 While working in Congressman Tiberi\u2019s Central Ohio office, Spicer is attending The Ohio State University\u2019s John Glenn School of Public Affairs where he is working to complete his Master\u2019s Degree in Public Policy and Management.\r\n\u00a0\r\nSpicer, a Houston native, graduated from The Ohio State University in 2008 and went on to Officer Candidates School. As an active-duty marine, he completed two tours in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.\u00a0 He was first stationed with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines as a forward observer from 2010-2011 and then with the 2nd Battalion 5th Marines as a fire support coordinator in 2012.\u00a0 \r\n\u00a0\r\n\u201cRichard\u2019s hard-working attitude makes him a great addition to the office and his personable nature will definitely help him as he works with constituents in the 12th Congressional District.\u00a0 We\u2019re glad to have him as part of our team,\u201d added Congressman Tiberi.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://tiberi.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=364951"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.5365220606327057, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
