UNLV defeated the University of Nevada at Reno 27-22, the first victory against the Wolf Pack since 2004. In honor of \u201cMake A Difference Day,\u201d they will perform a community service project, and as the losing member, Congressman Amodei will sport UNLV Rebels\u2019 attire during the event. \u00a0Titus commemorated the UNLV victory on the House floor. \u00a0Below are her remarks:\u00a0\n\u00a0\n\u201cThe annual Battle for Nevada between the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and the University of Nevada at Reno is not just a football game played once a year; it\u2019s a time honored tradition that reflects the best of Nevada's sports rivalries.\u00a0\n\u00a0\n\u201cThe victor not only wins bragging right for a year, but also the coveted Fremont Cannon painted in the winning school\u2019s colors.\u00a0\n\u00a0\n\u201cFor eight long years, Reno has claimed these spoils. But this past Saturday, after a great game between Nevada\u2019s two outstanding universities, UNLV celebrated its first victory against the Wolf Pack since 2004 and the long-anticipated return of the Fremont Cannon to Las Vegas.\u00a0\n\u00a0\n\u201cCongratulations to UNLV\u2019s coach, Bobby Hauck, and all of the Rebels for their 27-22 victory against UNR.
