Below are her remarks:\u00a0\n\u201cThank you, Mr. Speaker.\u00a0\n\u201cIn two days we\u2019ll go home, leaving behind a long list of unfinished business; but it\u2019s not for lack of trying on the part of Democrats. We have introduced bills, signed discharge petitions, protested on the steps of the Capitol, and fasted on the Mall, all to try to prompt\u2014or at least shame\u2014the Republicans into some kind of action.\n  \n\t\u201cBut they are shameless. Apparently they just don\u2019t care.\n  \n\t\u201cThey don\u2019t care if women get paid less, as long as CEOs get record salaries; they don\u2019t care if children stack up at the border and families are divided, as long as they can sue the president; they don\u2019t care if people struggle to get by on low wages or with no unemployment insurance, as long as corporations can keep their tax loopholes; and they don\u2019t care if the environment is raped, as long as big polluters can continue to circumvent regulations that protect our air and water.\n  \n\t\u201cBefore we go home, we need to show the American people that Congress does care about them, and we need to pass important measures that jumpstart the middle class, so we can say that we did something while we were here.\n  \n\t\u201cI yield back.\u201d", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://titus.house.gov//news/floor-statements/titus-calls-on-congress-to-act-on-important-legislation"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.1063446290791035, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
