Prior to the 9th Circuit Court\u2019s ruling, the Nevada and Idaho cases were \u201c\u2026consolidated for the purposes of disposition,\u201d unfortunately linking the fate of both states\u2019 bans.\u00a0\n\u201cGay and lesbian couples in Nevada, Idaho, and across the country are entitled to equal protection under the law,\u201d said Titus. \u201cIdaho Governor Butch Otter stands on the wrong side of history. I urge him to respect the 9th Circuit Court\u2019s decision so these committed couples may wed.\u201d\u00a0\nThe stay was issued following an emergency motion from the State of Idaho.
