Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement after voting for an amendment to a short-term funding bill that will allow President Obama to pursue the portion of his strategy to fight the Islamic State that involves training and equipping Syrian opposition fighters:\r\n\u201cIt\u2019s clear that the Islamic State is a threat to the United States and must be destroyed. While I am not convinced the president\u2019s plan is sufficient, it is a first step.
