Visclosky announced today that Merrillville resident Melissa A. Borom completed a summer internship at his Merrillville district office.\u00a0 Melissa is entering her second year at Valparaiso University Law School.\u00a0 Borom will graduate from Valparaiso Law School with the Class of 2016.\u00a0\nBorom\u2019s favorite quote during her internship was: \u201cIf you intend on being a part of anything, you must first commit.\u201d\n\u201cWorking in Congressman Visclosky\u2019s office has been an exuberant experience, and seeing the level of commitment that this office has shown is astonishing.\u00a0 It is great to know that Congressman Visclosky\u2019s core purpose is serving the residents of the First Congressional District,\u201d said Borom.\u00a0\n\u201cI appreciate Melissa\u2019s work in my Merrillville office this summer,\u201d Congressman Visclosky said.\u00a0 \u201cMelissa proved to be a valuable asset while working as a press intern, and I\u2019m thankful that she had the willingness to serve in this capacity.
