In addition to his new role on the Veterans\u2019 Affairs Committee, Blumenthal will maintain his positions on four additional committees: Armed Services, Judiciary, Commerce, and Aging.\r\n\u201cNo obligation is more sacred than the debt we owe our military men and women. As the number of veterans grows dramatically and our nation winds down wars, our former servicemen and women will face challenges, visible and invisible wounds of war, issues of access to care, and basic questions of navigating the Department of Veterans Affairs. These veterans, and their needs, are diverse and varied, encompassing men and women of widely different ages, eras, and circumstances. The challenges are immense, and I am honored to be leading the effort to tackle them.
