Roy Blunt and his family stopped by Ozarks Food Harvest on Wednesday to tour the facility and talk with volunteers and staff.\r\nOzarks Food Harvest president and CEO Bart Brown said Blunt often stops by this time of year to help raise awareness about the continued need for donations\u00a0after\u00a0the holidays.\r\n\"Thanksgiving and Christmas are just two days of the year. But people need to eat 365 days a year,\" Brown said. \"In January and February, the need steps up because utility bills go up, heat bills go up and seasonal jobs discontinue.\"\r\nAs Brown led the Blunt family around the warehouse, the Republican senator complimented Ozarks Food Harvest's four-star rating from Charity Navigator,\u00a0a nonprofit organization that bills itself as the nation's largest independent charity evaluator. Ozarks Food Harvest has received four stars\u00a0\u2014 the highest possible\u00a0\u2014 for the past four years in a row.\r\nBlunt's\u00a0son Charlie gave Brown a check for $150. According to his mom Abby, Charlie's donation to Ozarks Food Harvest came from his allowance.
