{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["http://www.blunt.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news?ContentRecord_id=B6AD2463-9D22-4D6C-9AE2-AAC1D300981A", "2017 Presidential Inauguration Ceremony Ticket Requests", "2016-11-16", "2016", "2016-11", "Republican", "House", "MO", "Roy Blunt", "B000575", "www.blunt.senate.gov", null, null, "legacy", "The 58th Presidential Inauguration Swearing-in Ceremonies will be held at the Capitol on Friday, January 20, 2017. \u00a0The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) plans and executes all Inaugural activities at the United States Capitol, including the Inaugural swearing-in ceremony of the President and Vice President of the United States and the traditional Inaugural luncheon that follows. \u00a0For additional information, please visit http://inaugural.senate.gov and check back frequently since it will be updated as more information becomes available.\r\nI am pleased to take requests from residents of Missouri for the Inaugural Ceremony.\u00a0 Each Congressional office is allocated a limited number of tickets, most in viewing areas well removed from the platform and standing room only.\u00a0 Tickets to the Inauguration Ceremony are free and required for every person, including children and infants in arms.\r\nHOW TICKETS ARE DISTRIBUTED\r\nMy office is keeping track of ticket requests in the order they are received and will provide information as it becomes available. \u00a0Every effort will be made to distribute tickets on a \u201cfirst-come\u201d, \u201cfirst served\u201d basis for constituents from Missouri.\r\nDue to the anticipated demand and the limited number of tickets to the ceremony, each request will be limited to four tickets. \u00a0Please request tickets only for those who are fully committed to travel to Washington for the Inaugural Ceremony.\u00a0\r\nTicket requests will be accepted through 5:00pm EST, December 5, 2016.\u00a0 Any requests made after the deadline will be placed on the waiting list.\u00a0 The deadline has been set to allow constituents attending the Inauguration enough planning time for travel and accommodation arrangements to be made.\u00a0 Making a request does not a guarantee you will receive a ticket, but my office will be in touch with everyone who places a request. \u00a0Notification of ticket allocation should occur by the middle of December.\r\nIf you are selected to receive tickets, you will be required to pick up the tickets in person prior to the ceremony.\u00a0 The person requesting the tickets must be available to pick up the tickets in Washington and will be asked to provide a photo ID at the time of ticket pick-up. Tickets may be picked up from 9:00am-5:00pm January 16-19, 2017.\r\n\u00a0\r\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION\r\nTickets may not be sold. In addition, handicapped access is provided in each section of tickets; therefore there are no tickets specifically marked as handicapped-accessible.\r\nIf you are not a Missouri resident, please check with the Senator or Representative of your home state for tickets.\u00a0 You may look up your representative at http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/.\r\nPlease note that there are many inaugural events, both official and non-official. \u00a0Tickets are to the Inauguration Ceremony only.\u00a0 My office will not be able to provide tickets to any other event. \u00a0The Inaugural Parade and official Inaugural Balls are handled by the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC).\u00a0\r\n\u00a0\r\nCONSIDERATIONS\r\nAs you consider coming to Washington, D.C. for the Inauguration, please keep in mind:\r\n-Washington winters are cold.\u00a0 Be prepared for cold weather.\u00a0 Typically, temperatures in January in Washington average from a low of 28\u00b0F to a high of 43\u00b0F.\r\n-Security measures will be in place and taken very seriously.\u00a0 Be prepared to go through metal detectors and have bags checked. \u00a0Security requires ticket holders to arrive at least a couple hours early, carrying no seats or large bags.\r\n-Transportation options will be limited. \u00a0Due to street closures around the Capitol grounds and massive crowds using public transit, be prepared to walk a few blocks and wait in line.\r\n-The following airports are close to Washington, D.C.:\u00a0 Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://www.blunt.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news?ContentRecord_id=B6AD2463-9D22-4D6C-9AE2-AAC1D300981A"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.6959380116313696, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
