Ted Yoho showed up at Eastside on Friday afternoon to notify Emily Louie-Meador that shed been accepted into the United States Naval Academy.\nPart of the rigorous application process for military academies is securing a congressional nomination.\nEmily, 17, applied for a nomination through Yohos office and was interviewed by a panel of officials.\nYohos staff said when he learned of Emilys acceptance into the Naval Academy, he wanted to notify her of the prestigious achievement himself.\nWere very proud of Emily. Shes an amazing student, a great leader and a great athlete, Eastside Principal Jeff Charbonnet said.
