Ralph Abraham during a special Veterans Day ceremony Wednesday. Abraham spent Wednesday participating in a number of Veterans Day events throughout northeastern Louisiana, and the special medal ceremony was the perfect event to close out the days celebration of local veterans. Some of these medals are replacement medals, and some are medals that they never received when they were in service. We are honored to be able to do this and privileged to be in their presence, Abraham said. I know people understand how important it is to respect, honor and pay homage to our veterans because we all know without our veterans we could not sleep soundly in our beds at night or walk down a country road and enjoy this beautiful day.
