Adams released the following statement on Hurricane Florence as North Carolina braces for impact: As Hurricane Florence approaches our shores, I urge all North Carolinians and residents of the 12th District to take the appropriate steps to prepare and be safe. Florence is projected to be one of the most powerful hurricanes to impact North Carolina in recent history. We cannot afford to take this storm lightly, which is why I will be cancelling my work in Washington this week to stay in the 12th District and ensure that our residents receive the federal and state resources they need. I encourage all citizens to develop an emergency exit plan, stock up on water and food, check and refill medications, secure your belongings, and pay close attention to local, state, and national disaster updates. For updates on Hurricane Florence from Rep. Adams, visit the Disaster Relief Resource Page on my official website. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
