The new center will provide classrooms and training opportunities for members of the construction and energy industries and help open the door for business and skilled workers in Alabama to take advantage of jobs in the evolving renewable energy field. “This is great news that Wallace State Community College will receive grant funding from ARC for the Appalachian Regional Center for Entrepreneurship and Renewable Energy Technologies,” said Aderholt. “Having a well trained workforce is essential for Alabama to meet our state’s energy initiatives and related private sector industry growth. This new center at Wallace State will be a tremendous addition to their campus and to our community.” In addition to ARC funds, local sources will provide $20,000, bringing the total project funding to $50,000.
