H.R. 4850 amends the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 to allow for the inclusion of walk-in cooler and freezer technologies that are more energy efficient than systems that are currently required in the law’s narrow definition. “Too often bureaucratic red tape and needless federal regulations keep America’s innovators and small businesses from creating jobs,” said Aderholt. “The Enabling Energy Savings Innovation Act passed by the House today is a common sense solution to what never should have never been a problem to begin with, but sadly became another bureaucratic nightmare.” “I am glad to see that the House of Representatives is again paving the way for manufacturers to come up with innovative energy and cost-saving ideas that at the same time also save American jobs.
