Congresswoman Garcia, with Congressman Al Green as a co-sponsor, introduced and successfully passed H.R. 203, which designates the United States Postal Service facility located at 4020 Broadway Street in Houston, Texas, as the “Benny C. Martinez Post Office Building.” Congressman Al Green stated, "I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia for her tireless advocacy in renaming the post office in honor of Benny C.
