Without her leadership on this cause, this investigation into the tragedy at the Astroworld Festival could not have come to fruition. On the eve of what is traditionally a joyful holiday season, far too many families will still be in mourning. The loss at NRG Park last month still weighs heavily on the loved ones and friends of those who tragically lost their lives. As a sitting member of Congress who represents the area where this horrific tragedy occurred, I am exceedingly disturbed by the events that unfolded at this festival on Friday, November 5, 2021,” Congressman Al Green said. “Since the day following this tragic affair, I have been very supportive of efforts to uncover exactly what went wrong and hold accountable the parties responsible for this dreadful incident.
