Dahl, who is the County's lead negotiator with the Forest Service on travel management, will be a witness at a hearing on "U.S. Forest Service Regulatory Roadblocks to Productive Land Use and Recreation." "Agencies in Washington, D.C. tend to proceed as if they know best and can ignore their legal responsibilities to coordinate with local stakeholders," said Amodei. "Living with the consequences of public land designations is something that we Nevadans know a lot about, which is why I want to thank Chairman Bishop and Ranking Member Grijalva for the opportunity to bring an expert from Nevada to provide feedback on this vital issue." Dahl has extensive experience coordinating with the Forest Service and has also worked on key legislation pertaining to water rights.
