President Biden never had the legal authority to unilaterally ‘forgive’ student loan debt, and attempting to do so was nothing more than a desperate political stunt to buy votes during a midterm year. “The truth is that student loan debt cannot be canceled, only transferred from those who borrowed to those who did not. Americans who didn’t attend college, went to a trade school, or worked hard to pay off their student loan debt should not be forced to bail out those who haven’t yet paid back their loans.
