Amodei A000369 amodei.house.gov amodei https://amodei.house.gov/news-releases scraper FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Logan Tucker, 202-225-6155 WASHINGTON, D.C.– Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-02) today released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 4378, a short-term continuing resolution to keep the federal government funded through November 21, 2019: “The only thing dumber than voting for a continuing resolution, is voting for a shutdown, so I picked the lesser of the two evils. In all the time I’ve been here, there has been no government shutdown that has resulted in the intended policy changes that Members of Congress or the Administration were willing to shut the government down over in the first place. Meaning, government shutdowns are all for nothing as they are incredibly disruptive to people’s lives and federal agencies, while no progress is made on the issues. I supported today’s spending bill because not only is it expected to be signed into law, but it continues current funding levels for the critical programs and agencies Americans rely on.” 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-06-27T23:37:07Z
