Congressman Andy Levin (MI-09) today released the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to pass a one-week funding bill to avoid a government shutdown and extend COVID-19 relief negotiations. While I'm pleased that Congress will reconvene next week to continue COVID relief negotiations, I believe it's important to remember what created this last-minute rush to help small businesses and families Republican obstruction and brinksmanship. The House passed the Heroes Act on May 15 and updated the bill on October 1. There is no excuse for the delay from Republican leadership and the White House.
