The truth of the matter is that when we raise the debt ceiling without reform, we make way for new spending that, in turn, not only threatens to bankrupt America but fuels the out-of-control inflation that has been ravaging poor and middle-class families for the entirety of this Administration’s tenure. The Congressional Budget Office only just recently confirmed what Republicans have been saying all along: Biden’s Build Back Broke agenda, with its gimmicks removed, doesn’t cost zero dollars as advertised. In fact, the CBO estimates BBB would introduce nearly $5 trillion in new spending in the long run which Democrats will happily dump into the lap of every American taxpayer and at the feet of our future generations. I proudly voted against this reckless measure that would add an astounding $2.5 trillion more to the national debt. Rest assured, I will continue to fight alongside my Republican colleagues against the Democrat effort to bankrupt America at the expense of the most vulnerable among us.” ### 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T20:37:48Z
