Menifee County High School will use these federal funds to implement multiple measures to bolster school security, including the placement of cameras in vulnerable areas and making all buildings accessible only by card access. Congressman Barr secured these funds through the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Byrne JAG Program during the most recent federal appropriations process. “This grant will strengthen safety for students and faculty at Menifee County High School for decades to come. Boosting security in our schools is the best way we can reduce the risk of violence in classrooms throughout America,” said Congressman Barr. “I am pleased to deliver this grant award and I want to thank the leadership of Menifee County for partnering with our office in a persistent, multi-year effort to obtain this grant.” “The safety of our students is always a top priority and thanks to the efforts of Congressman Barr and his team, the Menifee County School District is going to be able to continuously make improvements to not only our new facilities but to update all of our campuses.
