The unlawful occupation of university property, the use of fire, the obstruction of public streets, and the intimidation of others reflect a blatant disregard for the rule of law, public safety, and the values of civil discourse.” Baumgartner added, “There is no place for hate—especially antisemitism—on our campuses or anywhere in our society. UW was right to make clear it will not be intimidated by destructive and bigoted behavior. This is a critical moment for our institutions to stand firm. When laws are broken and hate is expressed, there must be consequences. Washingtonians deserve to know that our campuses are safe, secure, and guided by principle.” 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-07T00:49:36Z
