All month long, Americans are invited to Go Purple to help raise awareness about Alzheimer's Disease. To make the occasion, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement: Right now, more than five million Americans are living with Alzheimer's Disease, including one in nine Americans over 65-years-old. This staggering statistic means that each of us likely knows someone impacted by Alzheimer's. In that spirit, this month and all year long, we must commit ourselves to working together to raise greater awareness and doing more to support individuals, their families, friends and caregivers touched by Alzheimer's Disease.
