"The importance of highly-trained doctors and medical professionals cannot be overstated—especially as our nation continues to grapple with the COVID-19 Pandemic," Beatty said. "Every day, we have all seen, heard and read reports about the dedicated men and women on the frontlines who are working hard for all of us." CHGME provides federal funds to the nation's freestanding, children's hospitals to help them maintain their graduate medical education (GME) programs that train resident physicians and dentists.
