Thompson (D-MS) announced The United States Department of Agriculture has awarded $99,943 in funds through the Rural Business Development Grant Program to WAREHOUSES4GOOD located in Moorhead, Mississippi. This Rural Development investment will be used to conduct a business feasibility study, statement of facility requirements, an operating team, an outline food products distribution plan and a baseline architectural plan for planning a food warehouse with dry and cold storage in Sunflower County, Mississippi. The warehouse will be located within the existing former Allen Canning Plant in the city of Moorhead; and is currently owned by a local non-profit, Delta Advantage Center.
