The NPRC has only recently returned to operating at full capacity after operating at reduced levels since March 2020. During that time significant backlogs developed which have caused hardship for veterans. “The NPRC delays are preventing veterans from receiving the records they need to access care and services,” said Congressman Andy Biggs. “The timeline required to eliminate the backlog has fluctuated too often. The NPRC must provide a clearer path forward as their employees return to in-person work.
