The original ACE Act also included my Chesapeake WILD Actwhich established a new grant program that has brought millions of dollars in grant funding to my district and helped clean up the Bay, enhanced fish and wildlife habitats, mitigated flooding and increased recreational opportunities throughout the watershed. I am proud to see continued bipartisan support for the Chesapeake WILD program, and I look forward to seeing President Biden sign this reauthorization into law.” The America's Conservation Enhancement (ACE) Reauthorization Act of 2024 includes authorization for three programs that are essential to restoration and conservation in the Chesapeake Bay watershed: $15 million annually forChesapeake Watershed Investments for Landscape Defense (Chesapeake WILD) Grants; $92 million annually for the EPA Chesapeake Bay Program; $3 million annually for theNPS Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network.
