https://boebert.house.gov/media/press-releases/rep-boebert-joins-senator-cruz-streamline-permitting-infrastructure-projects Rep. Boebert Joins Senator Cruz to Streamline Permitting Infrastructure Projects 2023-03-29 2023 2023-03 Republican House CO Lauren Boebert B000825 boebert.house.gov boebert https://boebert.house.gov/media/press-releases scraper Today, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (CO-03) introduced the House companion to Senator Ted Cruz’s 90-Day Review Act, which would shorten the timetable to file a lawsuit opposing a major infrastructure project from 150 days down to 90 days. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert stated, “Frivolous litigation should not be a hurdle to critical infrastructure projects that will improve the lives of Americans across the country. For far too long, we have put trial lawyers’ interests ahead of the American people. Burdensome litigation causes our hardworking men and women to sit idle on job sites as they wait on court processes. This bill will unleash American workers to reach their full potential as they build roads, bridges, railways, and other critical infrastructure projects right here in America.” Senator Ted Cruz said, “America’s infrastructure should be able to be completed in a timely and predictable manner without excessive government red tape and delays. I’m proud to introduce legislation that would loosen the federal government’s stranglehold on infrastructure projects and get Americans back to work.” Background: The 90-Day Review Act shortens the length of time from 150 days to 90 days that a party can file a petition for judicial review of a permit, license, or approval of a major infrastructure project. By streamlining the federal litigation timeline, this legislation will help reduce frivolous lawsuits, cut red tape, and help critical infrastructure projects move forward in a more timely manner. This bill will reduce the amount of time it takes to construct real and important infrastructure projects like highways, bridges, railways, dams, and other important projects that will improve the lives of people in Colorado's Third District and across America. Congresswoman Boebert’s 90-Day Review Act is the House companion to Senator Ted Cruz’s 90-Day Review Act he introduced in the Senate. Reps. Troy Nehls (TX-22), Paul Gosar (AZ-09), Mary Miller (IL-15), Ralph Norman (SC-05), Clay Higgins (LA-03), and Russel Fry (SC-07) joined Rep. Lauren Boebert in introducing her 90-Day Review Act. 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-07T23:30:02Z
