These competitive grants are designed to help local law enforcement combat illegal drug activity, strengthen officer wellness, and improve community policing. ! “Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe,” said Bost. “These federal grants offer much-needed support to local police departments as they crack down on illegal drugs and make our streets safer. I will do all I can to ensure they have the tools and resources they need to succeed in Southern Illinois. ! Applications for most programs are due by June 30, 2025.
