https://brooks.house.gov/media-center/news-releases/brooks-questions-sec-kerry-iran-nuclear-weapons-and-israels-security Brooks Questions Sec. Kerry on Iran Nuclear Weapons and Israel's Security 2013-12-10 2013 2013-12 Republican House AL Mo Brooks B001274 brooks.house.gov     legacy Washington, D.C. Today Congressman Mo Brooks (AL-05), at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, questioned U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry concerning America's nuclear agreement with Iran and its impact on Israel's security. After citing the desire of Iran's President to wipe Israel off the page of time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's comment that the Iran agreement is not an historic agreement; it is an historic mistake, and America's need to avoid repeating the 1930's Neville Chamberlain-like pattern of appeasement and retreat that helped trigger World War II and the deaths of tens of millions of people around the world, Congressman Brooks asked Secretary Kerry what can you say to Israel and the rest of our allies in the Middle East to convince them that America is still a reliable ally and that America will enforce agreements with Iran. Secretary Kerry answered Congressman Brooks by reminding the Committee of everything America has done in the Middle East, and elsewhere, on behalf of our allies that justifies their continued reliance on America. Congressman Brooks concluded by thanking Secretary Kerry and stating, In April 2009, President Obama said in Prague, Rules must be binding. Violations must be punished. Words must mean something.' If there's anything I can do to assist you in that regard with respect to these agreements, please let me know. For video of the Q&A, clickHERE. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
