Good to have you here, congressman. Brooks: My pleasure. Reagan: I look at all this stuff, these conspiracy theoriesI mean one after another. Devin Nunes had a good point yesterday. He sort of ticked through them all. I mean starting with the agent of Russia. He's been an agent of Russia for, you know, decades. If we actually spend what 2 1/2 years and many, many millions of taxpayer dollars investigating all that? Conspiracy theories that we are wasting time investigating, you know, I don't see people doing that on the other side. What exactly is going on? Brooks:The Democrats are doing their utmost to divert the attention of the American people from the major challenges that we face as a nation. We want the elections to be about, do you want open borders, or do you want border security? Do you want a balanced budget or do you want these huge deficits and accumulated debt that threaten us with a national insolvency and bankruptcy? Do you prefer free-enterprise which is based on liberty or socialism that is based on dictatorial conduct? Do you want your medicine to be socialized? As a consequence of what the Democrats have done through, the attention of the American voter has been to a large degree on things like Russian collusion to help the democrats capture the House in 2018, that argument even though it was totally debunked and false. Now, they're substituting Russian collusion with this Ukrainian mess that has no substance to it whatsoever in hopes of diverting again the people's attention from the challenges we face as a nation. And, unfortunately, the major accomplices of the Democrats are entities like MSNBC, CNN, The Washington Post and The New York Times who seemingly have made a trade of being the allies of deception and the enemies of truth. And, that is a real shame, because it's making it very, very difficult for American voters to figure out what the true facts are and what the law really is as we wade through this impeachment mess that the Democrats have foisted upon the American people. Reagan: Well, representative there is a lot of conjecture right that's been going into all this because they are assuming a lot? They are assuming that the president must have been pulling something behind the scenes, must have been saying, OK, unless you deliver the goods on Biden, I'm not going to give you the 400 million bucks. It's been made clear now that that actually wasn't the case. Why is it that they are trying to spin all this? They are making these leaps. By the way, in a sort of kangaroo courtroom that goes nowhere. Right? Because there is not enough votes in the Senate. I think people have seen through all their efforts and they wouldn't be able to get to first base in the Senate. So why are they doing it? Is it all to hurt him at the ballot box? Brooks: Well, as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a number of other Democrats have publicly stated in rather candid moments, this is not about impeaching Donald Trump and removing him from office. Rather, it isabout using taxpayer dollars to help fund an opposition research effort that in turn the democrats believe will help them in the 2020 elections. Now, setting aside for the moment whether it is illegal for the Democrats to abuse taxpayer monies in this regard for political campaign purposes, the key is that the mainstream news media is backing them up by continuing to spread this message that is a very deceptive message. The plain fact of the matter is, President Trump has not committed a high crime, misdemeanor, bribery or treason if you look at those words as they were intended by the people who actually wrote them at the Constitutional Convention. Regan: Crazy stuff, and it's a shame. Brooks: Notwithstanding that, the Democrats and the mainstream news media continue to push forth this propaganda simply because they dislike Donald Trump on the one hand, and Regan: Like I said! You know, Putin knows how to outsource, he has CNN and MSNBC Brooks: on the other hand, they don't want the message to be about how strong the economy is. Regan: doing the job for him. Very quickly before I let you go. The date is coming up. We heard from Lindsey Graham that December 9th is the day the Horowitz's report on just exactly what when into getting the FISA application done will be released. Any sense of what we are going to see? Brooks: No, at this point I hope that we'll see a report that will help divulge the truth about what has been going on with FISA. Time will tell whether that's going to actually happen, but I hope the Senate will call Hunter Biden as a witness and I hope the Senate will actually employ rules of evidence like we have in our judiciary that helps a judge and jury sift through evidence to reach a true conclusion where rumor, hearsay, rank opinions are not admitted, because they are not credible.
