Brooks Receives Tax Fighter Award from NTLC 2016-09-16 2016 2016-09 Republican House AL Mo Brooks B001274 brooks.house.gov     legacy WASHINGTON, D.C. —  During an awards ceremony in the U.S. Capitol, Congressman Brooks (AL-05) was presented with the Tax Fighter Award from the National Tax Limitation Committee (NTLC) for his support of legislation aimed at simplifying our tax code and providing tax relief for Americans. NTLC President Lewis K. Uhler presented the award to Congressman Brooks in Washington, saying, “Representative Brooks’ votes on tax and spending issues in the 114th Congress earned him an ‘A’ grade and the Tax Fighter Award.  Representative Brooks has been a leader in the battle on behalf of taxpayers to kill the hated death tax, reduce tax rates and the complexity of the tax code, to provide incentives for private savings, investment and job creation, to control the growth of federal spending and to force Congress to act on major, economic growth-inducing tax reform.  Representative Brooks has been a major asset to taxpayers all across America during his congressional service.  He has had the courage to challenge the orthodoxy of Washington special interests.  His leadership is vital to America’s future,” concluded Uhler.   Congressman Brooks said, “It is an honor to receive the Tax Fighter Award from the National Tax Limitation Committee for my work in the 114th Congress.  I remain committed to supporting tax policies that spur economic growth and limit federal government spending and regulation, thereby allowing taxpayers to keep more of their hard-earned money.”   Rep.
