This legislation will specifically benefit farmers and rural communities in the Fourth Congressional District by funding vital maintenance and improvements of the nation’s ports and inland waterways. It also revises policies regarding water storage delivery. For farmers in the Fourth Congressional District, this infrastructure development will improve access to water and will assist in transporting crops to the appropriate markets. “We must invest wisely and frugally in America’s infrastructure, which is why I voted for the WRDA Act,” stated Congressman Ken Buck (CO-04). “Growing a bushel of Colorado corn doesn’t do anyone much good if you can’t get that corn to the right market.” Additional investments in drinking and wastewater infrastructure will ensure that urban and rural communities have access to the water they need.
