The ceremony was held at the Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes, a fitting location to recognize the contributions of the brave men and women who served this great nation and the indelible mark they left on our history. The Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter 6 also performed the “Missing Man Table” presentation to honor the soldiers who have become Prisoners of War or Missing in Action, including the 1,600 Americans still missing or unaccounted for today. Tragically, 58,286 American soldiers lost their lives, including 1,534 Hoosiers. After bravely serving in the conflict, thousands of Hoosiers returned home to raise families, work, and continue their lives. It was an honor to speak with these brave Hoosier Vietnam Veterans about the issues they faced during the conflict, after leaving the military, and the ones they still dealing with today.
