Yesterday’s announcement is a win for patients across the country.” Bucshon, a physician, became a leading opponent of the controversial proposal and introduced legislation in May to block it from moving forward. In September, Bucshon also raised concerns that the experiment would limit access to much-needed care and increase costs for seniors during a congressional hearing with the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
