Today, U.S. Representative Ted Budd (NC-13) announced that the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has awarded the City of Salisbury, NC a $480,000 grant to improve the city's outdated public buses. Rep. Budd secured the funding through the FTA Buses and Bus Facilities Program. Rep. Budd said in a statement: I'm thrilled that the FTA awarded these funds to Salisbury. This grant will go a long way to improve public safety and allow the city to modernize its fleet of vehicles. I'm committed to making it easier for folks to travel around our community for work or to spend time with their friends and families, and that's what this grant will help accomplish.
