I appreciate the Tennessee National Guard stepping up, as well as the emergency rescue personnel and volunteers on the ground.” said Rep. Burchett. As of today, the Tennessee National Guard has: Deployed 401 soldiers and airmen Delivered 67,500 lbs of food and water Delivered 1,500 lbs of miscellaneous household supplies Removed 93 truckloads of debris Rescued 105 citizens via airlift The Department of Defense has also approved the Title 10 request for active duty personnel and equipment to be deployed.
