The USMCA has been waiting for House approval for over a year and serves as a modernization of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The USMCA is expected to generate $68 billion in new economic activity, increase American exports to Mexico and Canada, and create 176,000 new jobs. The trade agreement will also establish more transparent labor standards as well as release American companies from burdensome environmental regulations.
